Know Your Appliances




The world of plumbing is a huge one, that includes many types of what are known as appliances. An appliance in plumbing is something that connects to a water supply or is installed within or added to a domestic system. These fittings are all over the average home, but are pivotal for the safe and efficient running of a home’s plumbing. So here are a few examples of appliances: The Flushing Valve is employed in a WC system to purge the waste from a toilet pan, using the cistern’s water volume. Quite new in the UK, the valves are operated using a button or can even incorporate an electronic sensor. The flush happens as a seal over the outlet hole lifts, allowing the water in the cistern to be discharged into the WC pan. The waste is then cleared from the pan and down the soil pipe.
